I just replaced my headgasket and started up the engine and it is smoking like crazy and the check engine light is on. The smoke doesnt smell sweet like antifreeze. Im pretty stumped on what it can be. If anyone has any input it will be greatly appreciated.
Smoking from the exhaust pipe? I know mine smoked a bit after I got done due to the exhaust manifold gasket burning in. If you are smoking a lot from the tailpipe you have other issues. What color is the smoke?
its a yellow one that is in the Driver side of the engine. It should be near your long black fuse box. It will have two slots in the yellow connection. Run a wire from one to the other and check your "check engine light" for what codes it gives you.
