Hey guys I need some help...am looking for a 84-85 supra...other than autotrader do you guys have a few more sites that i can use. I'm not trying to be too picky, but I'm not traveling 1200 miles to look at a car.I already did that when I went to LA- after the individual I talked to told me it was in good shape, then when i got there I received "oh by the way I think the water pump is dying sorry forgot to tell you." Needless to say I did'nt buy the vehicle in question, since I had to drive thru nevada on Highway 80. The backups that I had If that deal was to fall thru lined up never materalized.

bummer about the failed buying attempt. I'm also trying to find a mk2. I've given up on trying to find any specific year by this point, but the price range I'm looking in may be lower than yours.
Sites to try:
http://cars.com (lots of listings)
http://autobytel.com (sometimes they have one or two, worth a shot)
http://localtrader.com (just searched and didn't find any, keep checking though)

and also remember to check if your local newspaper has a classified site online that might have more listings then are in the paper version. Other than that good luck man. Anyways where are you located? If I find a 84 or 85 for sale I'll tell you, and if you find any mk2s in my area (around seattle washington) for less than like $1500, give me the heads up. Have fun!

To buy a car long distance, rather than pay for an airline ticket just to go look at it when you know there's a good chance you'll be disappointed, instead you can contact one of those auto inspection services like Carchex.com to inspect it and send you a report. And of course, you can always first ask if someone on our forum is local to the car for sale and could check it out for you. I can't say I blame you for not wanting to go very far to look at a Supra but don't give up just because there isn't one local.

By the way John I'm located in colorado so i'll just look on my own thanks anyway...even though when I go to autotrader I see quite a few Celica's in washington state(even though thats not what your looking for). And Phil I'm not giving up, I still have to adjust some fundage anyway
