well, tonight i went out for the last car club meeting of the season... we all stood around in weather at the freezing point, then it was off on a short cruise.

going down a nicely twisty downhill, i lead 2 corollas, 2 echos, and a gaggle of honduhs, followed by a sr20det 240sx, couple rx7s... few other assorted rides.

coming to a LARGE hill (105th street for you edmontonians), with about a 30degree climb, i was in the far left of 4 lanes, some non club chick in a nissan sentra, then a two club members, one in a 91 crx, and one in a turboed 89 civic that puffed out black soot :?

i launched hard and owned them both... hehe, the torqueless wonders did NOT like that hill.
once we got on the flatter portion, they both pulled even, then it was back uphill and supra all the way.
coming to the top, where it levels out, they both wanted a rematch, but i just laughed and waited for my corolla driving friends to catch up.

so, friends, the lesson learned here is that supras are infinitely superior to hondas going uphill :D

Isn't it fun to catch torqueless wonders (usually ricers) on hills? I've had a Sentra, a Civic (DX  ), and a VW Corrado (I think) all try to take me on a hill in Salem, and they just didn't seem to understand that torque, not power-to-weight is the key for a hill climb.
