Just a quick note for those looking for replacement hood struts. NAPA tells me they don't carry them. Well I've got the bag my last ones came in PART # 819-5406 They cost me $28.00 each w/small discount. BTW the part number was for later (MKIII) supra. Guess they just dumped the MKII out of the data base

This is quite the old post, but what is everybody doing for replacement hood struts nowadays??? Mine aren't totally shot, but the hood will close on its own after about 30 seconds.
replacement are available, not OE I beleive.

vise-grip locking them on the shaft of the strut, to prevent them to go into casing =
hood stays up....

I've been using a bottle of Meguire's Quick Wax to help out my hood, doesn't look as ghastly as pliars, looks more like advertising a good product

in the area where i live they are 28 each at car quest, 24 each at autozone,32 at napa all of these had to be special ordered. auto zone had a week wait.

Yeah, and if you could bend over and stuff for the photo...you know. LOL :) Just kidding Tanya :)

Looks like I have a few leads to follow. If it's not too much to ask, who has used a set and liked them??? Do you still have the part number and brand?

Aaron, I see on your site $49, is that for a pair or for each one?

Thanks for any help everybody.

Eric
E: OT but I like your sig. Looks very 80s. (not uber detailed like you see nowadays with DSLR content)

Eric
