ive been looking around town for a nice center console, as both my cars have chewed up units.

anyways, long search, and i finally find one,
i went in and asked to look at the car (its not a u-pullit) and we walked over, and i took a look...
the console is mint, even the armrest is in GREAT shape.

im just curious, how much a console like that, from a celica gts, should go for?

they were asking "$90, maybe $120, depending how hard it is to remove"
so i offered to remove it myself, if they dropped the price a bit, so he said to call me tomorrow and we could haggle, seeing as it was almost closing time for them.

theyre pretty easy to remove, but im not going to tell them that, but how much should i offer?
$60?
$70?

thanks in advance folks :)

I had one experience with one of those places. I still have the over priced door skins waiting to install. 60. is high in my opinion but I have a Pick Your Parts and bucks so i have to u-pulls. STill cant find a good center console(I need one to)but their price is well below 60. I am going tomorrow to look for stuff. What color do you need. I need black or dark blue. Maybe we will get lucky. If they have what you need I will be happy to pull and ship to you....or maybe we can me at Red Deer...little road trip for both of us! Most that I have seen have a wrecked arm rest. How do you feel about that? let me know about the color and arm rest and I assume you need the console and the shift surround or just the console? Let me know.

i need black, although i can dye if need be.

the celica center console looks the same as the one i just pulled from my car.

your lucky Wil, if they have any supras at the upullits here, theyre stripped within days :(

thats why i ended up buying a parts car, i was just lucky in that it ran at the time of the accident, so with luck i have two engines :)

if you can find something, let me know, im not sure whether ill take it, or just grab the one ive got here.

thanks in advance though :)

Celica console...

Storage bin is slightly smaller, no mobile maplight, and no air temperature sensor thingy (forgot the correct name for it), it's the contraption that is underneath the console that has the air vent above the backseat ash tray that sucks in air.. This item is another MUST have for the Auto A/C system.... Unless you like having a confused Auto A/C system.

$90 - $120 for a console?????? For both the upper & lower pieces???? WAY TOO MUCH!!!!! $20 - $40 is more like it, assuming everything is all there.

I bought my center armrest from Toyota a few years ago. I don't know if they still sell that or not. I would try to get a price on a new one, and then get a price from a couple of upholstry shops on recovering yours and then negotiate from there.

All depends on what color your console lid is... Black & Blue is CLASS D, or CLASS E. Maroon & Terra Cotta is CLASS E, but I think TC is now CLASS F.

Last time I checked, new OE Console Lids were hovering around $90 - $95 USD before any discounts. Getting them recovered can be done for a price that's much less $$$$, but it depends on "how" well it's done... Do you want it redone in the correct rectangular shape w/ all of the correct angles, or do you want it done really cheap & it ends up looking like a shapeless blob... :p

I don't believe Toyota is selling new Upper & Lower Console pieces anymore, I'm pretty sure these are CLASS F items.
