I have heard stories about people getting the wrong oilpump and i will not get my pan for a few weeks so i have no other way of checking ...

yep dat looks liek the 85 oil pump i have...if its not then i dont know then good luck

It's hard to say with out measuring the gears. Just at a glance it looks a little short. Maybe you could take out the driven gear and measure it's hight.

Just ordered a NEW 5M oil pump today form a local speed shop called Buck's Engine Parts. It's a Melling unit, and was the only one that comes WITH the pickup screen. It was only $175 for it and shipping. I'll take a pic of it tomorrow and try to get it put up on here to compare by. Still trying to get all my stuff together for my 7M swap, and now looking for a set of 5M block mounts. (My car came to me engineless). I've got a post in the wanted section just incase anyone see's this. :wink: If anyone is curious about the oil pump I ordered, the part number was from Melling #M156. This sure beats the prices I've seen in the $200-$250 range that most ppl talk about. Anyway, I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow...

napa's got them for ~$135 when i looked online a couple days ago.

thx for the replys that is the same part # on my pump m156, so i guess it is good i will know for sure next week when i get the 7m out of the machine shop and the new oilpan
