I was searching for key blanks today and saw several sellers on E bay listing genuine Toyota key blanks for 1985 models with a black plastic head.

Part Number: 90999-00212 for 15.00$ and up. depending on the seller.

Did Toyota make a new batch?

Is this the master key blank we need for the MK2 Supra with the small head? Carl H

That's not the p/n you are looking for. You want 90999-00105 which is discontinued.

Sorry for the false alarm on the key, It was early in the AM and I did not do any homework on the part number. My blunder, sorry. Carl H

Any updates on the special Supra key blanks?

I'm down to my last key and that's pretty dangerous given that closing the passenger's door sometimes triggers the doors to lock . . . .

Thanks!

Go to a key place and find the other old Toyota keys that match the stem and take a bench grinder to the head so that it fits.

I have 2 blanks that need to be cut. Are lock smiths an essential business? My big box store will NOT cut a key blank.
Mine is an Ilco TR 33. X 137 is also stamped onto it.
