Those 80's Rx-7's can surprise ya. They may be torqueless wonders, but they will still move if ya rev them. My bro had an 84 with a 13B, and that thing would really move.
From a stop, I think the results would have been a little less one sided tho. Those things can;t launch for crap, between the fact that the wankle make zero low end torque and boost lag..
