OK, this is about the 12 old thread I read..
Still no answer to the resistance value of the probe.
(Nothing in TSRM either)

Can anyone that has a knock sensor handy measure
the resistance between the pin and the body ?
Please make sure that the DVM probe touches ONLY
the pin, not your skin at the same time

Anything in the EFI Trouble shooting manual ?

I'm having code 52, swapped ECU, checked cable...
..only KS left. !

On-line, which is 86. It talks about it, but no value. I guess mine is dead, as it
reads infinite, but I am not sure that this is abnormal for a KS.

im told those things work like microphones, so tap it with the ass end of a screwdriver while you test it and see if its resistance values change at all

no idea, but do you need one? i got one in my motor, but dont need it (mines an 82) you can have it, aslong as you send me something to put in the hole in my block
You don't need anything in the hole, as it does not go through the casing. If you really want to put something, It is 12 x 1.25 mm, 10mm long will fit.
(Not that common thread tough)
I could send you my dead one, but that would be benificial to Canada Post only !
The late 84 have the hole, but no KS installed in it.

Yes I do need one, as I am currently running with the CE light ON, and timing locked at 10 BTDC by the ECU.. :(
