can one of the moderators on here,
"turn on" the ability for the "poster" to delete his or her own posts?!?!?

I have a few that need to be deleted,
and all I can do is "EDIT"

it would save the website some space,
and probably get rid of 30-45% of the older posts!!!!

JUST A THOUGHT!!!!

FAIL, you can delete your own posts.

If you go to Edit your post after making one, there is an option to Delete.

You have to select the edit button after you make a post, learn to read what people post, I know you did not since there is not a quote option after you click Edit.:eekfacepalm:

I am wanting to delete the entire thread,
sorry for the confusion,

I see where I can delete a post (like I just did)
I should have said delete the thread (and all posts in it)

is there anyway to do THAT?

oh and I did read your post, but without a delete button,
I just quoted....

but like now while I am editing, there is a delete button beside the save, go advanced , then delete, then cancel
but nothing like that to delete a thread....

There are negatives to everything we all do. There are positives too! I say the positives of being able to delete a thread is worth it, especially in the for sale section. There are threads that turn into arguments and just ramble on and on. It would be nice to be able to delete those too. I have a few that need deleting right now.

So, I'm with Gus on this one. The other auto forums I frequent allow deleting and I love it.
