I've been checking online and had read in some places that a washer pump reservoir for the rear window on a MKII was an option. I had torn apart all the nooks and crannies under my hatch and found nothing, so I'm inclined to think that's true and mine doesn't have the option. It also doesn't appear to be connected to the front reservoir, which I replaced the motor on and works beautifully now (but no fluid on the rear window). Can anyone tell me if I'm searching for a non-existent reservoir?
Nope, it exiists as a small bladder located behind the side storage enclosure on the passenger side of the rear hatch area. There will be a nice funnel attached for filling.
Nice, I'll have to look for that tonight...I assume that pouch also uses it's own pump too? If so, is it the same pump as the one in the front reservoir?
I've been wondering the same thing and now I finally know where it's at. The owner's manual talks about it and even has a picture but it never tells you where it is located.
Thanks for the OP and the answers, because this has helped me in 2021 LOL i heard the pump but checked and couldnt see 2 lines coming from the front resevoir, so figured it must be in the rear but couldnt find it. Now I will check for it to fill it so i don't ruin the pump
The rear washer nozzle can also be aimed up high enough to spray the car behind you... used to be pretty funny many years ago, but people nowadays might shoot you.
lol i'd bet. I would totally do that but ppl are insane now and you def shoot you for that lol 😂
