So I tried searching the forum and various other sites. I cannot get a uniform part number on pads and rotors. I know that rock-auto is the way to go for most stuff, and that everything is nested under "celica" and not "celica supra".

My question is, are Celica pads and rotors compatible with my 1985 supra p-type?

Maybe one more question... is there anywhere else I should be looking? I tried all the box stores (NAPA, AZ, AA) and they are insanely priced, and out of stock on top of that lol.

I went with Rockauto rotors also. $25 each vs. local autoparts stores $100+.

For my 1984 the brake parts are listed under Celica, sub-selection of 2.8L L6 instead of the Celica Supra category. Not sure why that is, but there isn't much listed under the Celia Supra anyway. I used Raybestos 9221R, and the Raybestos website doesn't seem to show any other cars cross-referencing except for just "Celica." Same results searching with the Centric part number. So, I think the conclusion is, 1982-85 Celica rotors are the same as Celica Supra.


Brake pads I went with Porterfield R4-S from Raptor Racing. Expensive, yes, but from what I've read they'll handle anything I throw at them given my planned levels of modifications and mountain road driving, autox, light track day use.

Also bought EBC stuff off eBay. Use EBC part# for searches.

Thank you all for your replies... AND what your personally running on your supra

I just want very basic pads and rotors. Just want the vehicle to stop when I say stop... hasn't been driven in 20 years and its all rusted over. Not sure if any calipers are seized but we shall see lol
