Hello there fellow Supra owners and such.
Picked this car up a few weeks ago? A good friend of mine, Quinn was in need to get rid of it, i had always fancied one, so we exchanged money for car and whola. Under Quinn's ownership a few things were fixed and changed, not too much.
After i received it, I checked the fluids, cleaned the interior, replaced the battery, removed the cassette deck, fixed the heater flapper door that was stuck closed, installed my Nardi Wood Wheel and Shift Knob. Removed the rear wiper, gave er a wash, packed it full of tools and fluids and headed to the track today.
Took it to its full track day under my ownership. Had a blast, it was a bloody hoot in stock form. 30 something year old bushings totally shot. a 80% working diff, decent clutch, totally burnt out catalytic convertor, much sulphur smell :/ broke the muffler at the back off and a pipe it was attached to. driver seat broke mid drift...on a few occasions til i got a set of vice grips to hold the flanges in the corner together. ebrake works fantastic, no tire changes today as it was very wet. much fun was had, hope to have footage soon, would be a nice memento.
going to be ordering coilovers in the new year. have watanabes on order, going to remove the ac bits in the front, take out vacuum parts that are not needed. going to price out and try to get my exhaust bits in order tomorrow and start workin on that mess, should be fun...exhaust work is always the worst. having a lot of fun with this car so far, very interesting and slightly complex?
i just love these things, shear hilarity and 80s porn star's.
this is one of my favourite MA61s. such presence. much wow
