Yeah I used the SEARCH and couldn't find anything that answered my specific question so here goes:
I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any ultra low profile tires that will fit out 14*7 original rims. I'd like to lower my car but the tires I have already rub when the suspenion compresses all the way. Will I have to buy new rims and tires or does anyone know if they make a low profile tire? I only want to lower it like 1'' so I just need a little extra room in the wheel wells. That's all, Thanks. Brian
ps. cost is not an issue

your best bet is a 245/50-14, but I don't know if they're still available. The corolla guys run 195 and 205/60-14s all the time on our rims but thats pretty skinny for a supra. You do realize your going to throw off you speedo and odometer by doing that right? Your car will age faster and your speedo will report higher speeds then your actually travelling (good for avoiding tickets though, kinda like how I always set my watch ahead to keep myself on time  ). I think you can still get a 215/60-14 as well. Every reduction in width will reduce the diameter too

go to: www.tirerack.com

you can get 265/50-14 bf goodrich for a decent price. the diameter is listed as 24.5" vs. the stock tire's 24.7" ; no speedo calibration probs.

check the tire posts; one forum member has pics of his mkii with this size tire.

good luck 8)
