I recall the day when I joined a forum dedicated to the Honda Insight hybrid car that I drive as a daily driver and got royally flamed for using the term "piston slap". The head honcho mod tried his best to convince me that there's no such thing as piston slap and insisted on referring to the term as "piston percussion". Well, since I happen to be a drummer, I had a real hay day w/that idiot. :facesjump
