Browsing my mailbox the other day, i took a peek in my trashcan to see what my (server-side) spam filter had killed. And surprisingly i found this auto generated mail (that notified me for new replies at a thread i participated in) from this forum which had been identified as spam:

SPAM: -------------------- Start SpamAssassin results ----------------------
SPAM: This mail is probably spam. The original message has been altered
SPAM: so you can recognise or block similar unwanted mail in future.
SPAM: See http://spamassassin.org/tag/ for more details.
SPAM:
SPAM: Content analysis details: (5.3 hits, 5 required)
SPAM: Hit! (2.5 points) To: is empty
SPAM: Hit! (0.6 points) From: does not include a real name
SPAM: Hit! (0.3 points) To: has a malformed address
SPAM: Hit! (2.3 points) BODY: Gives a lame excuse about why you were sent this SPAM
SPAM: Hit! (-0.4 points) BODY: Contains a line >=199 characters long
SPAM:
SPAM: -------------------- End of SpamAssassin results ---------------------

The spamassasin software i have running on my server uses an spam-check method/algorytm that is used and shared by many other spam filtering software.

I have now instructed procmail not to send mail from this domain through the filter. I just wanted to share this discovery of mine. (i completly forgot that i enabled this forum-option in the first place).

I use Spam Assasin on my server also.

Unfortunately it too "treated" CS.com email from the forum as Spam. I white listed all aliases @celicasupra.com in the Spam Assasin settings and that took care of it.

Spam Assasin IS smart, but it's not perfect.
