I hope so! I got a bunch of more parts for the mk2 and mk3 market coming out soon also
Good to see the enthusiasm BUT make sure to finish one before starting the next.
I do that all the time and end up with 2 or 3 projects part way finished when I could have completed one.

ya I'm definitely guilty of that, I'm currently juggling 3 other projects on the side so that's why this one has been delayed these last couple weeks. Currently everything is done but I dont have enough table space to finish painting the long middle pieces

Hopefully yall didn't forget about me, quick little update for those still interested, I restarted from scratch again but this time the pieces will be perfect. I 3d printed small segments and joined them together so this allowed me to make perfectly flat pieces instead of having dips or bows like the originals. While I was gone I learned ALOT about mold making so I can now do pretty intricate stuff so ill definitely have some things coming in the future. I should hopefully have this trim done in the coming months as I am super swamped right now with a couple of Mk3 parts. Ill have some updates coming as soon as I get some table space haha

Will do although I kinda broke the code and started a new project a while back. Good news is that its mostly done since all I need to do is run sets every once and a while for people who order. Also gonna wrap up the antennas while the trim is getting machined. Still looking into the window trim as it would be very expensive to make because its super thin. I don't really have machines at the moment that could do that

Project in question

Is it an issue to make the side window trims? They are much thinner yes.

Yes for 3 reasons. #1 they are super thin which means that they would be prone to air bubbles. Which means I can’t do them the same way I do the trim. #2 Cost! Toyota used poly propylene and used presses to form them into shape. I could go with this route but it would not be cheap. l’ll try vacuum forming them in the future because then I could do them at home for a fraction of the price. If there is enough interest I could do them like Toyota did and spread the cost over the orders. Would need at least 100 orders
The belt line trims from Toyota are plastic over stainless steel. What would you do? All plastic?

Can you do fiberglass? That could be interesting.

Yes I can do fibreglass. I’d probably do a hard rubber or something like that
What if you did a 3 layer fiberglass with a rubber or plastic coating? With some sort of custom clips to attach to the stock mounting.

Hey just saw your link to the MKIII belt guides. NICE!
Now back to work on the Mark II stuff! :D
Mark me down for a set of basically every clip and trim other than the side moldings... I got those off Billy already ($$)
