Just switched from a 75-w90 synthetic to 80-w90 conventional and the trans feels much better. Not "as" clunky as it was. I've had 3 different synthetics in the trans and they all felt the same.

Also just switched from a synthetic to a conventional 80-w90 in the diff and it feels significantly better as well. Way less whine than it was.

But then again I haven't driven another supra other than mine so idk if its enough difference or not. Always had shit diffs in the car so im not sure what a proper one feels like. lol

The redline MT90 was the best I've used. I put regular 80w90 in mine and it was super clunky. Basically the friction modifiers in regular gear oil makes it that way.

The 5sp calls for GL4 oil, I have run GL5 and it felt more clunky?? Many have used MTL as well with great results...

Redline 10/40 has been the engine oil I used for a very long time...since I go extended oil changes every 8 months w filter change at every 4 months
