Thanks for the quick response and good advice. Update, tried unsuccesfully to get pressure gauge setup then decided to just replace the fuel pump....after all it's got a million miles on it HA HA. Now I'm stuck at disconnecting the intake hose at the tank. Soaked the threaded flare nuts w/ WD-40, icreased leverage of wrenches as much as I dare w/o twisting the steel line going to the engine. Thanks for any ideas.

If the bolt is rusted, I recommend "PB Blaster" which will be located near WD-40 in most parts stores. The can is absolutely covered in writing, and you are lucky to find the product's name hidden in all the junk :wink: This stuff dissolves rust.

If you change the pump, I also recommend you change the fuel filter on the engine block (royal PITA). the universal fit is fine; just make sure your fuel lines align with the scallops on the filter.
