There will be a Mk2 mini-meet at my house this Saturday, May 10th.
It will be a working meet. Several people have already said they will be here.
We will be pulling a blown motor out of my burgandy 86 and dropping in a new one. People are welcome to work on other Supra related projects on their own cars as well.

Please reply to let me know if you plan on attending, by emailing me, so I can send you directions.

Looking forward to seeing some Mk2's in my driveway this Saturday!

I just wanted to thank everyone that came over on Saturday to help me do the motor swap on my burgandy 86.
I finished everything up today and the motor started right up. No problems at all.
A big thank you goes out to my local Supra club brothers: Tim, Rob, Alex, Ben, Nick, George, Bob, and my non-Supra buddy Andrew. And thanks to Phil for loaning me an engine hoist for the weekend. What a great bunch of guys we have here in the Toronto Supra Club.
I'm looking forward to driving the car and should have it out to the next local Supra event.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. Looking forward to seeing that burgandy supra in person in July. So, how do you decide which one to drive?

Really happy for you pal. I'm very sorry that I couldn't make it out with you guys. first getting off @ 700 in the am. the havin the kids until 130 pm, And to top it all off, hitting the rain just past pickering. :?
one good thing did come about having to turn around. This guy pulled up behind me with a mkIII.
Said he had 2 MKII's in his drive way. One with a 6m. Any way hesaid he'll come to the next mini meet. Hopefully another mkII member in the making.
He seemed to be really interested in it. Anyway... later pal

Dean;

It was lots of fun. Second best thing about having a MK2 is how helpful the other MK2 owners are. Loved the Mini Meet. BTW thanks fro the Breakfast.

Let me know when your next project(Whatever it is) is underway, I'll be there for that as well.

Cheers...

Hey Chad, I still need to get the burgandy car safetied and emission tested... Hopefully I can get that done next week. THEN, I'll have a hard time deciding which car to drive. My poor Acura is gonna feel left out, even worse than last summer. And I drove it so little last summer, that the battery went dead a couple of times!!!

Mark, make sure you get that guy to come out. We need to get all the local Mk2 enthusiasts to show up for the events this summer. It would be sooo nice if the Mk2's could outnumber the Mk3's, even for just one event....

Nick, my next project might be a road trip for yet another Mk2! I'll give more details next week. :D

Dean we have more than enough multiple Supra owners to get our better halfs or friends to drive them, and then finally we MK2 owners would out number the MK3 guys at least one time.

Road trip, I thought you guys were going this week.

Nick,

OK, let's get some friends to drive all our extra Supras to an event. I'll need a few volunteers to help me get my whole fleet there. It sure would be nice to see all the Mk2's out to a meet at the same time.

Road trip - should be picking up the new one on Thursday. Woohoo!! I can't wait!!!

Geez, Dean. Where are you going to park it? You really need to move out the country!!! I bet your neighbors are really loving you now.

Chad,

I'll be parking it behind my garage. Lots of room!

The neighbours WERE giving me some funny looks as Tim and I unloaded the new one yesterday! And we unloaded it without starting it up!! Wait until they hear it run!!! Whoa!!! Nothing like the sound of headers leading to a pipe that exits under the passenger door!!!

For now, you can see a couple pics of "The Beast" at the following address.

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/deanjanderson
Then click on the album called "1982 Supra Race Car".
There are lots of other car pics in those photo albums as well, if you want to browse around.

I'll be adding pics to my website soon.

Looks to be in good shape. I am sure I spotted a rollcage in there. Is this an autocross car? Please give us some details on the engine and chassis setup. So you have a new hobby now? How much was the car? Is the interior stripped?

"Finding" more Supras

I didn't even go looking for the last one, it came looking for me! Someone saw my website and got in touch with me about the car. It's a pretty cool story, I'll tell you all about it the next time we get together.

I'm looking forward to racing it soon!

By the way, I've put up a bunch of new pictures of the car and it's modded parts at my Yahoo photo album site. Check them out at
http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/deanjanderson and look in the album called "1982 Supra Race Car".

Nice photos Dean. Couple of points. What is that EFI Checker?

Looks like you need to ditch that old intake piping and put in some type of hard pipe with insulation around it. Also, putting a cold air system like what you did on the '83 would probably help cool your intake charge.

It still has the passenger seat...
