oh well i went to the wrecker and its gone...but i found a really nice steering wheel off of an 87 celica thats says TWIN CAM on it. if that fits im gonna get it. and its smaller than my stock one so i tihnk it would be a good replacement.

89 had no airbag, the 90 on does. 89 was a different style than the earlier 88 and later 90 on. The 89 is best looking one IMHO with the cruise buttons in the wheel where they should be.

most 80s toyota steering wheels should work. They vary in offset distances from the shaft though. Some may be too close to your stalks, some too far. I belive Don C has an 89 mk3 wheel in his mk2

It will fit, but, two things...

The horn needs to be modified to work with the MKII column...

also, you'll need to modify the back of the steering wheel to accept the two nubs from the turn signal cancel assembly.

after that, it's a straight bold on. I'll try to take pics and get back with them.

I'm not using the same computer anymore....I doubt I would be able to find them.

The 86.5, 87, 88, and 89(non airbag) splines will match up. The Cruise control functions on the wheel won't without more mods(I didn't do these)

The horn ring off the MKII wheel needs to be atatched to the rear (use the big hole for the horn tab into the wheel - you'll know it when you see it) of the MKIII wheel. Use REALLY short screws or they will touch the metal part of the wheels and will scare the b-jesus out of you when you try to mount the wheel... ask me how I know. lol

You may need to widen the hole in the cover on the column, I had to take off ~1/16th of an inch so the wheel would fit without rubbing.
