Well, now that photobucket is back, I have already gotten a Flikr account, so am loading pics there. Long overdue. I probably am forgetting about some stuff. Since most of the questions I get are about my 8.8 swap, I will start with progress pics on that. Right now the big hang up is laser cutting. Place I normally used changed owners and now have a minimum order amount that is quite high. So if someone has a hookup on a GOOD laser cutter that will do small jobs for a fair price, I need stuff cut. Thickest will be 1/2in A36 mild steel.

I got the rear C7 ZR1 33 spline wheel hubs.

The 33 spline F250 front outer CV's fit them perfectly.

And the C6 12in x 1in rear curved vane rotors.

The template for the redrill jig I am building.

The drill press walked on 2 of the holes. Luckily I only needed 3 of the 5x4.5in pattern. Has drill bushings for 5/16 pilot hole, then the finish hole size for the rotors, then the hole for the 14mm reamer for the hubs to ream them for the Toyota studs. I am going to a put a slight oversize drill taper on the 5x4.75in holes so the lug nuts will center it perfectly on the hub. Havent done it yet, My daughter keeps me busy. lol

Front caliper bracket for the 13.15inx1.25in curved vane Audi rotors I am using on the crown front hubs. I will use Wilwood Forged superlite calipers. I need to buy the calipers and have the center bore of the rotors enlarged still.

FrontCaliperBracket by williamb82, on Flickr

Custom machined bungs for the caliper offset. I tapped them to 7/16-20 for the caliper mounting, and the bracket is tapped for the stock brake caliper bolts. M12x1.25 as I recall.

Test fit on the RA65 struts. I will tig weld the bungs to the brackets, but want to test fit the rotors and calipers to make sure the offset is perfect before tacking in place to weld.

I have drawn up the wheel hub mount, the caliper mount, and the jig fixture so I can build the new control arms. THese 3 pieces are what I currently need laser cut.

I printed the hub mount 1:1pdf as the holes for the e-brake setup are offset. I got it perfect so the file is ready to be cut.

I also picked up a 2JZ R154 bell housing with another OS Giken movement alteration kit. I got a "Built" R154 as well, though it has a broken second gear. I need to disassemble it so I can see exactly what needs ordered to repair it.

IMAG1755 by williamb82, on Flickr

Got the new shifter plate cut for the Ford T56 tailhousing so I can use my Hurst short shifter on it.

IMAG1761 by williamb82, on Flickr

Also grabbed a R154 output yoke for 1350 u joint, so I can run a 1 piece driveshaft with 1350 u joints when the 8.8 swap goes in.

IMAG1838 by williamb82, on Flickr

Also nabbed a 36-2 crank trigger for my 2JZGTE off of a vvti engine at the junkyard.

IMAGE0182 by williamb82, on Flickr

Found some center caps that fit my SSR's.

IMAG0026 by williamb82, on Flickr

IMAG0027 by williamb82, on Flickr

And got the proper decals for them.

Adjustable cam gears for the 7mgte.

IMAG1050 by williamb82, on Flickr

3T adjustable strut rods.

IMAG0978 by williamb82, on Flickr

Also got some rear springs in different rates to tune the suspension with. 600lb, 375lb, and I think the others are either 400 or 450lb. Thanks to Don Lew! I plan to eliminate the crazy squat under power.

IMAGE0050 by williamb82, on Flickr

And of course the 10AN oil feed line I will be using on the 7mgte rebuild.

No. I wish I had a laser cuter, mill, and lathe. I got hooked up with a guy by the chimp to make the offset weld bungs that I tapped. Guy even had them bored to the exact size for my tap to go into after I told him what I was doing. I had drawn them with the hole slightly smaller so I could finish drill them myself with the right bit. I need a new hookup for laser cut pieces. All the local places I call wont do it because the order is too small. Its pretty annoying.

Yeah, not having a "small order friendly" shop to use can really put a crimp in your fabrication plans.

I'm finally getting to meet some Real Car Guys here. One is a friend of the family, and works with his brother and Dad in the shop their grandfather built! They just installed a new chassis dyno, so I'm going to see how much they'd want to run the Supra on it. Might be interesting to see how much power I lost moving from sea level to 5000'.

Nice. Are you keeping the factory control arms?

There's a fellow building control arms from scratch in another section, and he's using Sentra hub parts. It seems a lot stronger than stock and he's got the jigs already done.

Also, why the 36-2 wheel if you aren't going vvti?

I've asked about using that crank trigger wheel for my setup for more resolution, but a well known tuner said it isn't needed and to keep the 12 point with Cam sensors.

More accurate, but also the 36-2 the teeth are part of the gear. The 12 tooth is a piece pressed onto the gear and is prone to breaking free. I can weld the 12 tooth on, but figure the 36-2 is just a better option since I will be using a standalone.

And yes, I am building new control arms. Similar to what Supersubs did, however I plan to use the stock spring setup instead of coil overs like he did.

Oh, and I got some rear camber brackets for when I mod the sub frame to mount the 8.8 diff.

Building new from scratch control arms is definitely the way to go.

Same is to be said for the entire rear subframe if you're going for big power.

Whoa, nice big update Will!

It is hard to keep things going with a wee little one that is for sure. I've been struggling to make much progress with anything project car related in the last year or two for sure.

Nice SSRs! Aren't you only going to be able to run 2 of them though? Crown stubs up front, Vette in the back, doesn't sound like you are going to have the same pattern front to rear.

Got the ZR1 rear hubs redrilled for 5x4.5in yesterday. Got the pilot holes in 1 rear rotor done, but had to call it quits due to the weather. I need to order the extended wheel studs, and then cut down the originals so they are flush with the rotor when it is installed, and of course, finish redrilling the rotors.

On the drill press with the redrill jig I built.

Long time with no updates. Here are some updated pics for my custom 5 lug swap. I still need to get the center of the rotors bored to 76mm so I can finish the caliper brackets. I have the front and rear Wilwood Superlite calipers already, as well as the pads.

I got the rear wheel hub brackets laser cut finally. They fit the hubs and ebrake backing plates perfectly.

Bulkhead for the fuel pump outlet. 10AN to 1/2in barb. Barb is for the pump side. I actually have a 90deg one as well to use a straight fitting in case this will not clear the trunk floor
