well, got some really rare hard to find stuff, soooooooo, ill be running a 6m with ~10:1 compression, trimil header modified with 3in collector and 3in exhaust and 3 40mm dcoe weber carbs. heres some mock up pics on the engine. still need to clean everything up and media blast the parts and clearcoat them etc... i didnt bother installing the linkages as its just mockup to take measurements. the rear cam mount ignition will clear the firewall, just barely, and the power booster and master cylinder will be swapped for mk3 units as the rear velocity stack would hit the stock power booster. these parts as best me and dave a. can tell appear to possibly be from an old hks race car. some custom mods were done even to the parts that i thought were commercial items.

doesnt matter. lol. was kind of a pita but WELL worth the effort to get them. had to sell some parts i didnt want to but hey, cant pass stuff like this up now can i? hehehe

let me finish building the damn thing and get it in the car. lol. the head and manifold and stuff just got here thursday. already had the trimil and carbs. lol. trust me, no one wants to hear this thing run worse then me, and i plan to get a dyno once its tuned.

look at the back of the head. back of the exhaust cam is the ignition pickup, its mechanical advance, back of the intake cam is the distributpr cap that the wires connect to. need to buy a new cap and rotor and new seals for both sides. the dizzy was full of oil. the cap and rotor are off the shelf parts from a 89-94 nissan maxima, took me awhile looking at nissan distributor cap pics on google to find that out. luckily the cap says nissan on it or it would of taken longer to find it. lol. the aftermarket caps dont say nissan on them. and since the ignitor is missing i plan to use the 82 ignitor i already have with my msd blaster 2 coil i also have. gonna buy a msd 6al box later. i know the 82 ignitor will work as its what the guy wit hthe webers on the 5m in the pickup was using. i got some pics from him a few years ago before he sold it on ebay. i added a pic to the first post of the rear of the head before i put it on the block that was on the stand.

itll get the beautification, header will be cermachromed after the collector is modded. everything will be media blasted, valve covers will be refinished properly, etc... trust me, itll look nice and CLEAN when im done. now that its bein carbed im not blacking everything out. gonna clear all the raw aluminum so it wont pit and be easier to clean, the blacked out parts i already got will just go on my 85 later when i got time to swap them on. still got to get ahold of hks to try and ask some questions about some things. and dont worry guys when i get the intake cam fixed ill be sure to tell them to save the profile for regrinds for you guys.
