Here's some pics I just took of my Supra with its new suspension installed. I have Kings "Low" springs (you can also get "Super Low" but they're not street legal), KYB GR2 shocks, and all new Nolathane bushes. There's also a TrueTrac in there somewhere, but you can't see it - you'll just have to trust me. :)

Melikes!! :D

Like em low

I think it looks great, especially w/those 17's you were showing on em before :)

And camber doesn't look bad at all  especially how low you got it. That really appears to be a 3-5'' drop compared to my stocks :)

Wow, is Australia really that flat ? ( I know there's like a red rock chunk right in the middle). Dont think I could get away going that low here in Ontario, Canada. Frost heaves kill our roads.
Looks sweet Norbie but that shin smacker on the back has just gotta go !!!

Bob,

I've seen a few...and it's a 'aquired taste' for sure...you either love it or hate it.

Personally, i love the look of the 82-84 spoiler and would never take it off. But i must admit...that in person, the spoilerless cars look a lot better than i thought they would.

I don't think Norbie removed it by choice though...i seem to remember a post where he was pulling one of his 5g acceleration runs and it just disintegrated :D

The car isn't excessively low; I have friends with cars much lower than this and they get away with it. Some driveways are impossible to negotiate with their cars, but I haven't had any problems yet. :)

Ride quality is surprisingly good all things considered. Obviously it's not as smooth as it was before, but it's still perfectly acceptable for a street car. Performance is massively improved though; the most noticeable improvement is increased mid-corner grip, especially in the rear end, and much better high-speed stability. The car is easy and fun to throw around now, not scary like it used to be!

As for price, the springs cost me AU$90 each although I have since learned I could have got them for 80. Typical! :x

The springs are progressive, don't know the rate though.

What is the obsession with enormous bumpers in the US anyway? For example the US-spec RA24/29 Celica is ruined by the ludicrous bumpers, while the Aus-spec RA23/28 looks quite nice to my eye.

Sorry I don't know the advertised drop, but that's usually fairly useless information when you don't know how much your 20 year old springs have sagged already. Case in point, I bought springs which were supposed to lower my RA23 Celica about 2.5", and when I installed them it looked about half an inch lower tops! When you look at photos of RA23's from the original brochures you can see where the 2.5" figure came from though... the car had just lost a couple of inches over the years.
