Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and I just wanted to say hello and find out if there are any members local to me. I have some history with the MKII Supra Celica and have been pondering getting a MKII Supra. At the end of highschool I bought a very nice 1983 Celica GTS in 1990. It was nearly mint except for the rust on the hatch which I had fixed and repainted. It met an untimely death at the hands of a highschool kid who rear-ended me in my junior year of college. I'll try and put up a couple of pics. Anyway, I'm probably going to lurk around here to pick your brains before trying to find a low mileage 83-86 Supra (or even a nice Celica GTS).

Thanks George,
Yeah, the car was nice and as the tow truck was removing it from the scene of the accident the cop even said "That was a nice car"

I'm definitely leaning towards the Supra, I think they look better and I'd prefer the 6 cylinder...who wouldn't? :D

Hey Dave,

Welcome and diffently enjoy your stay. If you are looking and are in need of help with anything you are in the right place. I just recently bought my 83 supra and man have I had some questions because of what was done to the car. But I must say that in all the years that I have been on AOL and now roadrunner, I have never met people anywhere on line like these here. They are the KEWLEST!!!!!

Hey Dave... welcome to the group! That was a seriously nice looking car - very obvious that you are a detailing fanatic by the way the paint glows. My heart sank when I read further that it was totalled.

None-the-less, we have a very strong east coast following here. Follow this link to see our most recent cruise/gathering in PA. Everyone there is from the NY/NY/PA/VA region.

Awesome! Those cars look great. I was wondering if any one in either central or southern Jersey would be willing to show me their car in person and maybe give me a ride. I'd really appreciate that and it would help me learn about the Supra quirks.
Thanks
Dave
