I'm a newbie, and I have a 2wd Toy truck that I autocross (so the truck forums don't help me much), so hopefully I don't offend anyone with my question, but here it is:
I just installed a new longblock 22RE, and now I have a couple of problems.
1. AFM sounds like a very quiet car horn. It is making a honking noise like I have never heard before. If anyone has heard that whistling noise that brake boosters sometimes make when they get a little tear in them, this is much the same, but it is coming out of the AFM.
2. I know this truck has pulse AIR injection. It comes on at idle, causing the idle to rise, then fall, then rise then fall in a most annoying way.
3. I've adjusted the idle speed 3 times since cleaning the TB and resetting the TPS, and one day it runs at 800 rpm, the next at 1500 rpm, the next at 800 rpm. Of course the whole time the dang AIR injection is causing the idle to go up and down and it's really hard to drive.
Thanks for any input,
Jon
