Just the other day my Blackpra started to make this irritating clunking sound from the front, presumably drivers side every time I stopped, shifted and turned to the left. I know my tie rods are good, so that's not it. What else would make that sound? shock absorber, coil? what?

I think I have the same problem. I posted a question similar to this about a week ago. When turning all the way to the left (and only all the way to the left) it makes a loud clicking noise. Don't know what it is but I'll live. I'm savin my money for turbo parts :D

TanyasMk2Blackpra: definitely check the upper strut mount, that will most likely be your problem, at least in my experience.

Abomination: check the steering stops, my bet would be that you are either missing one of the covers or it has a hole in it. There should be a small white plastic cover over the stop so there isn't any metal to metal contact but once it wears away you get that loud noise when it's turned to full lock.

still can't figure out what the damn thing is, checked just about everything. it creaks annoying when I go over bumps, and when I hit the brakes hard it clunk clunk clunk clunk and I feel a vibration in the pedal like it's connected somehow. I thought it might be my vacuum booster b/c I plugged that off a while ago when the intake started sucking brake fluid, but I don't get how it would be connected to the suspension unless something is really loose inside the booster ( which will be changed soon anyway )
This is the 2nd 85 that my booster went out on me, wtf
maybe pulling the booster in the '84 will cure my problems, lol
