The early one are two pieces and the later ones are two pieces. Celicas shared the same stereo on the fancier model. Some just had a pocket below

Should be one dual din radio on 84+.

The 84+ had one big box, dual DIN size. I don't think they came with two 1 DIN units from that point.
Not 100% sure about 82/83, but I beleive they were two 1 DIN size components.

Billy fairly certain that's NOT MK2 vintage...its the later version radio for the Celica GTS FWD 1986-89

The Celica Supra Stereos were generally as follows:
86120-14371 (CE-4234-TL2) AM/FM/CASSETTE production date: August 82
86120-14660 (CE-5030-TL1) AM/FM/CASSETTE production date: Sept.83-84
86120-14661 (CE-5031-TL1) AM stereo/FM stereo/CASSETTE production date: February 85-86

IIRC there were variations of the above. As indicated, some were one double DIN module and others were single DIN modules mounted together. They looked the same from the front.

86260-14180
These looked liked they were the high-end Celica GTS model stereo rather than the Celica Supra stereo.

Interesting. My 84 GT-S, 85 GT-S and 85 Supra all had the same single-chassis, double-din unit with EQ. Never knew there were different units. Wish I hadn't trashed those old stock units now...

" Wish I hadn't trashed those old stock units now."

That's one of the reasons I kept all the stock/OEM stuff I pulled off my cars. Sure enough, somebody I knew needed one of the items I took off the car, and were very happy to get it.
