Been meaning to post for awhile. Picked mine up a little while back. Just wanted to thank George for all his time and efforts into this endeavour. Much appreciated!
Paying it forward for anyone looking for hatch struts for your carbon hatch. I picked up these 60lb. units and work perfect. A little extra lifting height too. Picked up new 4 new M8x1.25mm ball studs (part# H93607AW) for the install as well.

Yep! Here are the pics and part number for the front. If I recall, they are 30lb. Same ball studs on the hood as used in the rear (need 2 of them). The ball studs for the body are “HiRise” part# H9BS8EXTW (need 2).
RE: Raptor sticker...you betcha! I have one on each side since nearly every upgraded part on the car came from you George!!
Putting in an order! Thank you for the part numbers. I like the idea, God forbid, a latch comes free that the strut will help hold down a hood hopefully until you can get stopped. Then again, I need to install the Aerocatch's....but the size of that hole you have to cut in the hood....sigh.
If you're ok with the flex of the hood at speed, there shouldn't be a need. The secondary factory safety catch on the main latch functions on these, and the latch bar is welded to a piece of plate bonded into the lining. It should hold even if the main latch fails.
Very cool about the hood strut source! How is the flex when the hatch and hood are closed, any bowing?
I used the ones with a 1.5" overall OD, black anodized. You only need to drill a 0.75" hole, and can make a little 45 degree bracket for the internal post, that bolts to the front of each shock tower. Hood is rock solid even over 150 mph.
Also I use the same 30lb hood struts (all the info is in the Advan hood thread). There was maybe a *bit* of bowing, but now with the latches there is zero.
