Hey All,

Just got back from the machanic and they said that my Supra has an Open Dif, and not the LSD which should have come with the car :x . So, when my car was owned by the previous owner or when it was in the car yard for nine months, some b*rt*rd changed the dif for their own personal gain. :x :x :x

Now I am on a look out for an LSD diff to put under my car .

What is your diff code on the firewall data plate? Not all has lsd.

I've always wondered if one of those "Phantom Grip" dealies would work in a regular MKII open diff. In the Sport Compact mags I've seen them adding it to several cars with good results. If it works, it would be a hell of alot cheaper than most of our current alternatives. Good luck.

My Diff code on the firewall is... F293 and not happy that someone ripped it out

If you are verifying this by function the orginal LSD simply could just not be working. Most high mileage Mk2 lose their LSD fuction with wear. They are a very loose LSD brand new. You can actually tell if you have an LSD rear diff by removing the fill plug and looking in. You should just see a big cylinder inside a car with a factory LSD. The open diff cars you can actually see the spider gears.

Yep. I can see the spider gears... and it is confirmed by my gearbox specialist that it is a Single Spinner...

Now I am looking for one in my area of Australia for an 4.11:1 LSD.
