Pics of my 16" BMW wheels (+25mm offset/4x100mm pattern) with 1" wheel adapters from Adapt-it USA.

I stripped the wheels and powdercoated them low gloss black. They're sitting on 225 55 16 used tires (didn't want to spend money on new tires that may not fit). I'll go with 225 50 16 (front) and 235 50 16 (rear) when I get new rubber.

nice. The style goes well with the mk2. But you definatly need to get some 50 or 45 series rubber on there, those tires are way too tall! Dark wheels look sweet but they need really good light to show up well in pictures. What did the rims run you without the powder coating?

The wheels look good. How much were the adapters? It's cool that you didn't listen to everybody's discouraging BS about wheel adapters/spacers.
Way to go :)

Like I said, I will be going to a lower profile tire (in due time). I just got my H3-trimmed CT-26 today, so that's the current project.

The adapters were $200; the best price I could find from a reputable adapter manufacturer.

The wheels were found by sheer luck. An Ebay seller didn't know the offset or pattern, so I got the wheels for $210.

In the future, I'll go with a 1.25" adapter and a 4x100mm pattern / +38 or +40 offset wheel (stamdard Civic setup).

I'm guessing 6061 T6 is the material. I think the studs are standard type (with the locking serrations) and the holes drilled undersize.

I have access to a lathe and Bridgeport, but I didn't feel comfortable building something that's going to support my car at high speeds :microwave:
