I got my car waxed up pretty nice today, shining about as good as 20 year old paint can shine. Cleaned up my rims too. The battery died on my camera :x or I would have gotten more pics.

needs a wing of some kind back there :twisted: I need to put that missing trim piece back on (I have it sitting in the back)

the classic logo......I need new paint :?

Thanks Bob. Lots of elbow grease went into that. Zankone, yeah that engine fit in perfectly! I need to get an updated picture, I have a HUGE Accel supercoil in there, and that big round hose thing is gone. I need to polish my valve covers now.

Hey Sam,

Nice pictures!!! Your "Beauty Panel" that is on your hatch that is just below the window looks better than mine. Mine has some paint missing in places, this was the result from the previous owner when the car was sitting for awhile underneath a Pine tree. I need to get mine repainted Black.

I take it that your hatch does not have the rear window wiper?? (it was a option on the MKI's).

So the 81 Black has the Gold pinstripes huh??? Blends in very well. I just wish that Toyota had something better for the Silver Metallic. Orange pinstripes just CLASH with the rest of the car. Fortunately, that problem has now been resolved. Black pinstripe tape is now covering the orange & it makes the car look much nicer.

One of our PacNW members & infrequent MKII Yahoo list member Koll Simonds did a photo shoot last summer on the Silver Slug & the Redpra. These are some of the pics of the Slug & you can see the Redpra in the backround in some pics. The Orange pinstrips is still showing & I had not yet put on the Black pinstripe tape.

Well I do have a rear wiper motor, but the tab that the arm hooks too was broken off by the previous owner so I need to get a new motor from a junkyard. I'm taking off for the weekend, but when I get back and get some new batteries for my camera I'll get some interior shots, and some other misc. pics up. BTW those rims on your car look amazing!

If the motor is still working, then you won't need to get one. All you'll need to do, is swap in a new wiper linkage assembly (on your inside hatch interior panel, if you look to the right center, you'll see that "bulge" on the panel. That's where the motor is located & it's connected to the wiper arm (on the left side of the hatch) via a linkage). I "retrofitted" a rear window wiper into my 80 MA46 when I still had it 14 years ago. Ordered a On/Off switch new from the dealer, the wiper arm/linkage/motor and wiring harness, I got from the junkyard from a 78 - 79 Celica hatchback.

Wish I could get you a rear window wiper linkage assembly, but all of the MKI's that I have access to in the junkyards, don't have the rear window wipers.... Great, out of about 4 MKI's that I've encountered in the last 2 years, NONE had rear window wipers from the factory.

Thanks for the kudo's on the MKI wheels. I got lucky & the clearcoat is still intact on all of the wheels!!!!! 8) So that's why the wheels still have that shine to them.

Sam, be sure to bring out your mk1 to the next PacNW meet. Maybe we will finaly be able to get an all generational mono color shot! We should have been able to at the last one as a silver supra of every generation was registered for it, but someone didn't show (cough cough, carfreek, cough)

Hard to say at this point. The Centralia meets will be starting in January, maybe...

Couple of peeps are doing a local meet in Portland in the next few weeks. Information is on the PacNW list. Just keep your ears open.

Otherwise..... You missed the Baxters meet that was in July, & the PacNW Nationals that was in August. Seamus had a meet up in Vancouver a few weeks after that....

The meets DO get announced!!!! You just have to check the PacNW list.
