Slippery slope... Need new tires, so I consider new wheels. New wheels are limited, so I consider a 5-lug swap. If doing a 5-lug swap, I can do bigger brakes. If I do really big brakes, do I really even need tires?
OK, I know this isn't a pic of one of my MK2's, but it is a pic of the Registry database, where there are 860 cars currently. If you haven't joined yet, please do! Many of the old lurkers are there!
Here is the link to the data entry form: The Official MK2 Supra Registry
It's the same motor that I rebuilt... uh,... 3 or 4 years ago now? Maybe it was longer ago than that now. I don't think I've put more than a few hundred miles on her since that big rebuild with the new pistons, turbo, 550cc injectors, Lexus AFM etc.
I decided to bring her down to my house in South Seattle, so now that I at least see her everyday it gets me thinking about what the next fix/project on her is. I took off the rear wheels last weekend so I could start on the braided brake line upgrade and noticed the broken right side sway bar tab. I have the weld in reinforcement tabs somewhere at the folks place, just need to look through a bunch of parts boxes tomorrow and find them.
In any case, yes, Agatha is back!
Made ya look 😁
Maybe another week or so until I get the car back, the constant rain has been delaying work but I'm super excited!
She's got a few presents waiting for her at home, including a passenger side floor mat that she was missing, true yellow LEDs for fog/parking light, new keyfobs...
