Here's the short version of the long story. Previous owner tore 5M-GE apart to fix BHG. I got the poor thing in peices. I fixed the gasket, replaced the valves and timing belt. It was reassembled with just the bare neccesities. I had some timing issues for a while, but now I have all that set to the FSM. She starts very well and runs up the tach very well, but when I take my foot off the loud pedal it lobes for a second or two and dies. Just in case it matters, I have an L-type, with the A/C and cruise removed. All emmisions parts are still installed. I'm sure this is something simple, but for the life of me I don't know what. Please help.

Can you keep it at idle if you open the throttle up some? If so, set your stop screw and idle adjustment so it stays.

It was a leak on the intake manifold. Purrs right along now. I ran it long enough to realize that the radiator is clogged and the bay needs re-wired.
That should keep me busy for a week or two.

Thanks guys.
