I did this exact thing years ago.
Wasn’t the black relay on the inner fender (under hood), wasn’t a fuse or motor or the fusible link.
It was the blue headlight relay under your steering column. Remove the lower dash panel. And get ready to be uncomfortable. Gotta stick your head under the dash and look for the relay under the h vac stuff. It’s way up there. Swap it out for the same exact part number or else it won’t work.
