i gotta change the head gasket on my 5m-ge... so i might as well do it all
is it worth the $$$$ or what??? has anyone done it yet.. if i raise the compression, any bad effects???? id like to know .. thanx

oh ya 1 more thing should i get new head bolt,, im thinkin yes....due to torque to yield....

5mge head bolts are not to my knowledge torque to yield type.
Am I mistaken?

They're not TTY bolts. Unless they've been over torqued, rusted badly, just been around the block a few too many times, or you're picky they can be reused.

5m-ge head bolts are not torque to yeild bolts, you could get a metal headgasket and new arp headbolts to help with dependability. by shaving it you gotta beware you don't shave too far, it is worth the money to port and polish but should only be shaved if there is warpage.....hope that helps....
