Discussion Starter #84 (Edited)
I've been meaning to get it working again. I switched servers and just don't have the file structure set right to send it through as a download. Things have just been hectic over the summer with my daughter being here. The house is empty now though, so ill figure out what's hanging it up.

BTW, that search improvement on my "linked" improvement is killer... kudos on that(ill post in the other thread as well).

**EDIT**

Turns out it should have worked all along, I just forgot to add the .com to the domain. Oops, everything should be golden for a couple years since everything is paid for until 2015. I updated the original post to include the searchable TSRM as well, and I've included my reasoning for doing so in the original post in this thread.

I'm tempted to get a collaboration together to try and just rewrite the entire file to allow it to be displayed as a web page so people don't even need to download it, but that might take a while, even if there's 100 people working on it, that's still 40+ pages each people will need to rewrite and format correctly to match the original scanned file.

The links are broken again, is there another way the searchable file can be reliably re-hosted?

Yes that version works, but its a lower quality scan and not the clickable PDF version, which is a million times easier to browse and find info quickly and the pages print out clearer and are easier to read, I read higher up in the thread that the hosting was paid for until 2015, looks like it ran out for that specific document.

It loads fine for me.

Try again?

Well you do have to download the PDF from Google Docs (or Google Drive as it's now called) before you can click the embedded links or search it. So make sure to click that download arrow at the top of that page and open it in Adobe Reader on your desktop. Then you will be able to search with CTRL+F of click the blue links in the index.

Not sure what you mean regarding quality as I haven't seen one better than this floating around, and the link posted above in which I think you are referring...

Points to the URL
Code:
http://dl.acschultz.com/supraDocs/TSRM.zip
and if you punch that URL into the Internet Archive Wayback Machine...

Code:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://dl.acschultz.com/supraDocs/TSRM.zip
They do have the file indexed and still available for download, though you will find it is the same quality as the one Jocelyn and I have linked to, and it is linked but not searchable as mk2_suprafan indicated next to the respective links in his signature.

Hope that helps.

Yes Jocelyn this file works. Its so nice to have a quickly accessible service manual again! :zzzzz: Thank you for posting this for everyone. Once you come into this thread you never forget it is here, we should try to flag an admin to repair the links in the first post, after all this is a sticky that is very valuable.

Jamie, try this link and let me know if it works, If so, I'll put it in my sign.
