So I have had my MSD BTM installed for a while now, but I have it set really low (like about 1 degree per pound of boost).

Im just wondering what I should set it at, What would be normal or good setting? anybody running this? whats your setting?

what about 7mgte ecu, does it have some way to retard timing with boost? If so how much does it?

Any help/input is appreciated.

Depends on how much boost you're running...

...best case scenario would be to get yourself some dyno time. Crank it up to 3deg/psi and slowly turn it down watching as your power increases each time. ...until that one time that it DOESN'T increase, then turn it back up a few notches.

I am working on dyno time. I have made good friends with the instructor at the local automotive schools high power program in which they have a dyno that monitors all that. He said if they arent busy I can probably get time for free..which would be awesome.

I know that is going to be the only way to set it up cause each setup is different, but Right now I am just looking for a baseline to set it until I can get there.
