I recieved and installed mine today. Bolts with a 19mm head WILL work. You just have very little clearance for tools.

A bit of a tight fit into the strut housing. The raised section around the bolt holes are fine, but I had problems with the large center section. I ended up buying some other bolts that are a full thread so I used those and the Arm-strong machine to suck the RCA's to the strut housing.

I have 25 full thread bolts and lock washers if anybody needs some.

Driving Impression: WOW! Very nice. Steering in general feels better and bump steer almost gone totally. I have GC coilovers lowering the front over an inch....I think. Hard to tell. Fender gap is about an inch. Going around a REALLY bumpy corner on my way to work pretty fast before installing the RCA's damn near jumped my car into the other lane. Not now! :)

Overall, I'm very satisfied! :D

Jim, you're the man! 8)

Cool.

I'm glad you noticed a difference and like them.

It's weird, I have three MK2 front struts in the basement,
and the larger center section fit all of them. But on my MK2,
they were really tight also.

Since I installed a new steering rack, I have no real before-after,
other that with everything installed, the steering is tight.

Extra RCA's available for sale after December 10th

Don't e-mail me now, as I will probably ignore/delete it.

Why December? I will be out of the country all of November.
High level sources indicate Jim will be in Seattle and San Francisco looking for this car to buy:

I put RCA's in today Jim. The fit is excellant. no problems..

My car is a new man!! by installing Eibachs, Tokicos and the RCAs my car handles with a heck of a lot more confidence.. very little nose dive under hard braking. my car dropped about 1/2 inch because of the original springs sagging

Oh, for you guys who haven't had the lower ball joints changed in quite a whilet, you will need a strong arm with a good socket , pipe and benzene or hotter torch. WOW those 4 bolts were tough but it all ended up great.

Thanks again.

Just instaled the RCA's after putting on the 17's a few weeks ago. The car feels much more controled and really likes taking the turns with the RCA's. Much improved, a really easy to install mod with great gains. Thanks Jim and Don. JDK Motorsports Rules!

Now to put on a rear brace or two and get someone insterested in making a mid brace!
