REMOVE SHIFTER SECURELY PLACE BOTTOM OF SHAFT IN VISE AND GRAB BELL SECTION ABOVE SPLIT WITH A PIPE WRENCH THEN TURN, YOU CAN ALSO HEAT THE TOP SECTION SOME TO HELP SOFTEN RUBBER. TRUE THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE "THROW" OR MOVE THE LEVERAGE RATIO BUT IIT DOES SHORTEN THE SHIFTER.
