I was at the mall today, and as we're pulling into the lot, I spy a white mk2. I immediately am like "HOLY SHIT! Go there RIGHT NOW!!" So we do, and to my very pleased surprise I find a white 85 P-Type in absolutely immaculate condition. I mean, not a spec of rust ANYWHERE, no dents, no dings, no scratches, no fading, absolutely NOTHING out of place. Looked like 2" pipe, still shiny. Blue leather interior in beautiful shape, everything original. All door strips still on and straight, rocker panels in perfect shape, leather wasnt even cracking. I was in shock, to say the least. I WISH I HAD MY CAMERA WITH ME!! I waited for a good 20 or 30 minutes to talk with the owner, but he never came out. I had to go in, drop off my tux, and as I cam out to wait out however long I had to to talk with the owner of such a beauty, I saw it driving off. I was not very happy. But, DAMN! One immaculate supra. This thing looked BRAND NEW, right off the 1985 show room floor. Never seen it before, had Wisconsin plates, but they were National Guard plates so who knows where the car came from. I was gonna leave a "visit www.celicasupra.com" note, but didnt have a pen/paper. Just had to say PROPS!! thats the nicest supra Ive ever seen.

That 85 Supra sounds gorgeous...every now and then I see a Mk2 in traffic here in Fresno, but it's becoming more and more rare.

This thread just gave me an idea. We need to design something, printable and put a copy of it on the website. Just a little note of some sort that compliments the owner on their Mk2 Supra and gives them info on visiting/joining CelicaSupra.com - you guys could print out a couple and stick them on your glove boxes.

Not everyone would respond to something like that, but it would be a neat way to get people in the cities we live involved with the website.

What do you guys think?

Another club I used to belong to used to have business cards for their members to pass out to other vehicle owners. The club's website had several different formats of the business cards and members would download the file, print it up on their printer, then take it to their nearest business card printing service and have a bunch made, or they could just make 'em at home on card stock.
They were cheap to make, easy to carry around and had just enough room for all the pertinent info needed! Maybe our board owners would like to create something for the "members" here...
Just a thought...

i think printing something out and putting them in the window of other mk2 owners and stuff like that about the website. i think it's be pretty cool. cause every once in a while i've seen like 4 mk2's in my town and 3 of them i didn't know who's they were lol. and wanted to do that but had no pen or paper. we should do that.

yeah that would be sweet. I wanted to leave something on a really sweet mk3 I ran into in the parking lot at costco and invite him to our meet but I couldn't find anything to write on!

I'll make something up and post a link to it for you guys to download - probably by tonight or something.

It'll be simple & clean with the CS.com logo etc and some supporting text...since most of you guys/gals probably have Adobe Acrobat reader, I'll save it in that format, unless you'd rather have it saved as an image like a .tiff or something. Adobe .pdf files always print nice and Internet Explorer can open them (plus they're Mac compatible too).
