We had the SONIC fun run on Sunday. It was perfect weather. About 15 cars turned out, Mostly MK3s. There was one MK4 single turbo. 5 Lexus' (Lexi?) and 3 MK2 including Reg Reimers mk2GTE. One guy showed up to advertise his MK2 for sale but didnt join the run. It was an 83 Terra-cotta Ptype from Florida with 87000miles. He wants 14,500Canadian for it :lol:
and its an auto :!: We had planned to drive to Elbow falls but since it was a Holiday weekend it was full so we changed plans and did a loop through the mountains-up through the Kananaskis over the summit and down into the foothills. It was hot-33C(about 95 farenhiet)and we had one MK3 blow its HG on the climb to the Summit. We stopped at a rest area and got him a tow then headed on. By the end the MK4 was running a little off (slight miss) But my car was still running strong. I had the oldest engine and it never missed a beat (I am so proud of Sally
)
I also got to meet forty-below and his wife. They are nice people and we plan to get together to do some work on our cars. He has very nice blue 83 that runs like a top. I look forward to meeting up soon.
I will definetely be going on the next run.
