Ok I need help. I put new Techna-Fit SS Brakes on my car yesterday and ran out of time and did not get to bleed them good, so today I go thruogh 2-32oz bottles of brake fluid to get all the air out. Now my prob is that I have no brakes with a very spongy pedal. The new lines inner dia. is a little smaller than the old ones could my Master cylinder have went bad due to the smaller lines increasing the pressure. I have done alot of brake work and this problem is kicking my azz. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

Sounds like you didn't bleed them good enough or you have an air leak somewhere. If you have a leak in the system usually the pedal will just go to the floor and you should have fluid coming out somewhere. I would inspect around all the fittings make sure everything is nice and tight. I would also take a peek under the dash to make sure you aren't loosing any fluid from the master cylinder. Also make sure you don't let any air back into the system when you bleed the brakes. I use one of the Mityvac brake bleeder which works great for solo work. HTH

Bob, not familiar with Silver's bleeder, but I use the Motive Prods. power bleeder, seems to work pretty well. I've used it on the truck several times and the Supra after doing all the brakes/suspension.

Hmmm, maybe you need to get a brake-bleeding party together and everyone chips in 2 bucks for the unit!!!

I think I paid about $30 for mine from Harbor Freight. Its actually a pretty simple device. Basically a cup with a hose attachment goes to a hand vacuum pump. You pump a vacuum in the cup and crack the bleeder and the brake fluid goes into the cup. Keep repeating till its nice and clean. If you have one of those handheld vacuums pumps for engine work you could probably make your own with a small tupperware cup with a couple of nipples glued on.

I bought mine off the SnapOn truck.Probably paid too much,but the first time you hook up the air,have a beer in one hand,a bottle of brake fluid handy to keep the res. full-- :lol:
You can do a complete flush in about 15 minutes-a must own tool.

Mine plugs into my air compressor,siphon effect.I didn't look at the above link,everyone I know uses the style I have.I ass-umed most were similar

Shawn has a pretty slick set up. When I saw him use it I was impressed. Just took him a very few minutes to have mine running clean and clear on all 4 wheels when I was up there last year. I still haven't found anything quite like it or I'd have one as well.

New Master Cylinder brakes are good to go now, (Sigh) Glad thats over driving 45 mph is for the birds and other drivers don't like it either they kept telling me to look up only they were using the middle finger insted of the pointing one oh well, I looked up but I never saw anything.
