For a couple of months now I have been thinking about setting up a MK2 Cali meet. I was just wondering if any of you guyz and galz wanted to meet some time around summer. Maybe we can set up a place (preferably somewhere around SoCali, just my opinion), time and or an event.

I'd want to go to a summeer meet. I've never been to one before. I was wondering if maybe you guys could have it somewhere in the bay area. I just don't want to travel too far (2 hrs away) to go to a meet. I don't even have any buddies here that own supras. Let me know if you ever get together. I hope it turns out to be fun!

well i just wanted to get together to put names and faces together and
maybe just hang around and check out our cars. I'm sure we can do more.

Well i guess its getting close to summer. I was thinking about meeting at a Park in Chatsworth. The park i was thinking we could probably meet is called Chatsworth Park South. One question i had was if it would be easier to have it in the weekend or weekday? around noon or what time in the afternoon would it be good for you guyz and galz?

Let me know what you guyz think? I will be going to that park and talking to the director to see if I can get a whole section of parking for us. Hopefully that guy is cool with me since i work for the Parks and Recreation too :roll:.

Chatsworth works fine for me, as it's about 15 minutes from my place!

A weekend would work better for me (as I'm in the Mon-Fri work rut!)

I dont know how most of you guyz feel about this, but this is just my opinion. I have been a member of socalsupras.com for a while. I would like to post there about this meet on socalsupras.com, but im not going to. The only reason is because there are more MK3 and MK4 out there than mk2 peeps. And I feel it would be best to keep it mk2's only. Its not that i dont want them there....ok ok I dont :lol: J/K. What I am really trying to say is that lets keep this small adding mk3 and mk4's to this meet will make it way bigger than we can handle. and when I say "we" i mean if any one wants to help me coordinate this (I have never done this before) Please help me out.

One more thing if any of you guyz have any ideas as to what we can do please feel free to respond. I dont think you guyz just want to stand there and gag at all the cars, well i probably will :lol:

As for setting a date lets keep it away from a holiday as there will be TONS of people at the park those days.

Weekdays or weekends are ok,as long as I have advanced warning. Then, I'll be able ditch work and the girlfriend...for the same occasion

If my supra is in the paint shop at that time, I'll just cruz up in my daily driver-tercel.

Also, I hope it's not windy that day. I'd hate to see the wind blow chunks of rust off of my supra and have it contaminate all of your rides!! :lol:

Well like always, Finals stressed the hell out of me so far it seems good. Now its just time to take it easy and work on my cars

As for the food We could go out and eat somewhere or order it for delivery. It all depends on what you guyz want. Malibyte suggested Round Table. As long as we have Pizza its good enough for me :wink: I can bring Soda and Chips and we can all chip in for the Pizza. But then we would need to know how many of us are comming.

An earlier post by Zank talked about keeping this meet an only mk2 thing....question is:

Are there members of socalsupras.com who drive MK2's that don't know about this board? Can we get into contact with them, would they be interested in a local MK2 meet, do they even exist? I'll probably be rolling with a buddy of mine, so count two in for me.

Also, a fellow toyota enthusiast (AE86 and cressida owner) keeps asking me to let him know when there are any meets of the 5mge kind. Would you guys mind if he cruised to this event as well-or do you wanna keep it just a MK2 thing?
