well, it sounds like a fairly fun day to begin with, but lets just say it was better when i went to the till...
-supra bra, i think for a mkIII
-"supra" and "celica supra" nose badges
-4 radio brackets and a pocket
-tons of screws and bolts
-bunch of fuses
- tps sensor
-pair of rear speaker covers
-ngk plug wires, almost new
AND, the shining jewel of the day....
an almost mint console cover/armrest!
this thing is beautiful...all i had to do was rub the dust off and install it in my car, pics to follow.

and the best part...the woman behind the till was one of those country gals... you know the type, the ones who think there are two kinds of music:
1) country
2) western
:p

great day, great day :D
going to go install bits!
lol

Hey Dogstar,

I need to find a place that like that ( minus the women), maybe there could be a male behind the counter.........lol. But seriously, it sounds like you got a lot of good stuff. Can not wait for pics.

AHHHH a fellow believer.......Yes my son,I too was blessed by the gods of the U-PIK-IT yards with a perfect black armrest cover!!

I dropped all the rest of the bits I had, quickly bought it, ran out to the parking lot to attach it. After that I really had no motivation to go back inside the yard.

Speaking of arm rests....I found that the ones off the MKI's....I think that is what I got mine off of work as well. I had to drill new screw holes but I had more luck finding those here (even a leather one) than I did out of a MKII. Actually I have never even seen a MK II in the junkyard here in KC.

I have not seen any mk1's here at all. But ya'll are making me very jealous here.....lol. My interior is blue and the guy took some red and black weird cloth and just wrapped it around some foam and stapled it together. Man it is as ugly as the whale tail was........lol

I am going to the yard this sat so I will see what is there. Mine was a brown leather one and I think it was about 5 or 10 bucks. If there are any there I will pull them and pass them out.

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I may have a hatch, side mirrors that work, hatch carpet and an armrest. Some one on here is going to pick them up tomorrow and let me know, and he is treating me good with the prices.!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy, I will have a lock on my hatch and I will not have to use my head to push the hatch up again!!!!

Scouting around the local junkyard a few months back, myself and MK2Racer came across an '83 with an auto tranny, rear end victim. The body was in overall good condition, minus the behind the doors panels. We pulled the doors, front fenders, hood, and front clip off, and no sooner did we do that, then he rear ended a blazer with his '82. (Think it's an '82). The armrest was bad, interior was a mess. Man, we found everything. We found stuff from an empty beer can to a sandle from probably a 1 or 2 year old kid. We also found that we shouldn't be digging around without some real thick rubber gloves, that was disgusting. Anyway, he's since stripped that thing completely down, and gotten rid of the bare body. So far I've used multiple parts off the engine, but the question still remains. Where do I find a good armrest? I've looked and looked. I got one from a guy who was parting out his car, it's in bad condition. I pulled it apart, and am waiting to get some leather or something to try to make a new one. If I can get that one lookin good, perhaps I'll redo the one in my car, and sell one. Hm... I smell a small business growing...

Crash,

I think you might be onto someting, with as many people that are looking for armrests you may make a good chunk of change for yourself. :)

I'm hoping so, but I don't know exactly how to stitch leather. Once I figure that out, I'm set... If it ever happens, I'll start selling them and they'll be cheaper with an old one to trade... Sweeeeet.....

Well, I'd say that it is safe to say that you seem like the type that if you put your mind to something you will do it, so I am sure that you will get it up and running.

You know, that's actually the nicest thing anybody's said to me all day... And now it's time to go to sleep... Lol... Well, good night all, maybe tomorrow I'll start asking the slew of questions I have, now that I've driven 1,000 miles since I got my Supra. Yes, 1,000. Night all.

Someone on ebay sells the armrest console but never posts it. You have to email him to put one up for auction. He usually has a replacement shift boot always up for auction. Also the conquest/starion armrest will fit ours but their slightly wider but look nicer.

well, thanks for the tip, but ive never even seen a starion/conquest in person, except for one ratty, wrecked one about 11 years ago.

finding one in a junk yard just aint too likely, at least around here.
maybe ill check dodge/mitsu parts departments, if theyre cheap ill get one :)

Their interior is very similar to ours, I personally like its interior better, feels more sportier. Here in Buffalo, the one junkyard has about 10 of them and one of them looks brand new. I took its armrest but the guy wanted $20 for it, I should of stuffed it in one of my pockets :) . Im going to try to fit their spoiler on my supra. I think it would look real nice.
