LOL!

We'll be pulling the 5M out of the Blupra on Saturday...hopefully it'll be up and running with the 7M-GTE by the next weekend....still waiting on the high-flow cat from SupraStore and a turbo timer....also looking for a good deal on an electronic boost controller - Greddy Profec B spec II, HKS EVC 4, or maybe an Apex AVC-R.

Good luck with yours, as well, Charlie - I'll probably be up here asking questions as well, though Dave Shepherd is coordinating the project - hopefully I'll learn quite a bit while helping him with it.

Well on Andy's site theres a little confusion going on in my head, maybe someone can help me clear it up a bit. Any ways heres the link
http://andy.supras.org.nz/wiring_files/mk2 wiring_files/mk2 wiring.htm

At the bottom of the page he talks about the cowl wire and these K and T plugs which i have no clue where they go or what to do with them. Also what the hell is the cowl wire, I've heard this wire a billion times and still dont know what it is or what it exactly does? Help!!

Also I forgot to mention that I will be using the 5m fuel pump then upgrading to the Walbro but remaining stock for now. I wanted to know how will I get it all wired up to work? Ive read on Andy's site about jumping pins 1 and 2 of 5m afm plug and it will work at only single speed this way? What does jumping pins 1 and 2 mean and is working at single speed a good thing or bad thing?

the 5m pump is single sped anyway, as is the walbro. the mkiiit pump is a dual sped unit. you have to hook a wire from the ecu to a pin on the drivers side kick panel. not really hard since you will most likely pull ign switched power from the same panel and also have to hook up 2 wires to the circuit opening relay. ill try to look at my car and see what pins. if i remember right the fuel pump is a purple wire, and the ign its a black wire with a yellow stripe, then the 2 wires for the circuit opening relay were in a smaller yellow panel that you have to remove the trim to get to and the wires you need are blue and then the green one. none of these wires get cut. use a male pin to slide into them and tap into them.

so I will not need to rewire the 5m afm plug like it was said then? Also what about the oil dipstick and oil cooler return lines what did you do about these?

I drilled ahole in my oil pan cut off the spot on the 7mgte oil pan and brazed it on to mine on to the 5m pan if u take off the 7m oil pan and look in side where the oil return is u will see what i'm taking about. As for the oil cooler u will want a better on the stock but stock will work if $$$ not available. Make sure u switch to the 7m oilpump make sure there are no holes in the pick u after u are done modifing it u will lose pressure

5m oil pump from 85 & up should be used as Wade found out that it's the same capacity as 7m. As for the oil dipstick, drill a new hole in another spot (fwd of engine mount) in same place as 5m block. Trick is to drill at correct angle, start with small drill bit then go larger in steps until you achieve final hole size (slightly smaller than dia of oil dipstick tube).

best bet would be to call a few local machine shops. much cheaper on gaskets too usually.

drill it at the same angle as the stock dipstick hole. also, use the a/c clutch and pulley from andys site. i think it is off of the 2sfe in celicas or camrys.

if you use the 5m compressor so the hoses match, you have to change the clutch and pulley. if you use the 7mgte bits you have to get custom lines made.

check this site out. i thought this is where it said what pulley and clutch to use so either i was wrong or its been removed.

you take the 5m a/c lines from your mkii, then take the 7m a/c lines from an mkiii. then have them mated together by an a/c shop or a hose shop. if you look at the 7m connections on the compressor and then the 5m, youll see what i mean. be sure to mate the right hose to the right hose, i.e. the pressure hose of the 5m to the pressure hose of the 7m.
