Targeting the end of May. Will send news when it happens.

I have to make my weekly visit to remind them. :)
Thanks, I was just about to ask myself. Keep us posted and keep up the good work.
They are finish the "round" items this week.

The rear drums were in the machine this morning.

Still looking like the end of May.

Will keep informed.
Caliper brackets being machined today and tomorrow.

Then off to plating.

Yikes, I might even have a set to install this weekend!
(ok, might be wishful thinking...)
BBK Status

Jim,

As a new member of this Forum, I would like to know the status of the BBK adapters that have been ordered, and if it is possible to order another set in the future.

If you plan to make another run in the future, please let me know.

hey, a new Van city mk2 guy. Welcome to the club. Keep an eye on the events section, there's going to be a big meet here this summer. See you around!
I will post here if there are any left.

There are a few people in line waiting on these.

Many thanks
I understand. People getting in late is always a hassle.
If others fall through, I won't hesitate. I want one.

I appreciate the reply.

I'm interesested as well for fronts and back.

I did private message a while back , but did not receive a reply.

If I am too late then any way I could get a copy of the parts list and plans. Maybe I can make my own.

Thanks.

Rear BBK pics!

Still waiting on the correct rear brake lines from Technafit...

Here are some pics on the bench.

Wow :!:
Besides being things of beauty. Boy, are they big :!: And these are the rears. What do the fronts look like?
Fronts are also 12.19 diameter, but 1.25 thick.

The rears have smaller pistons, as rear braking does
not require the same brake torque as the fronts.

Status: still waiting on the Stuart at Technafit to send the correct rear lines. :(
Ok Jim, now that I've seen those pics -- I'm drooling.

Please keep us all posted, because this is the next mod on the Supra. Must ... STOP ... better. ;)
I know the brakes are designed for the 1.25" thick but just out of curiosity what made you pick that width? That seems awefully thick, not that I'm complaining, but would that have any detrimental effects such as taking a long time to heat up to operating temp, much larger rotating mass, etc etc?

A few reasons.

Most cars now of this weight range use 1" thick front rotors.

The Coleman rotors I used for the fronts were considered light duty racing.
They appear like heavy duty car rotors. The Coleman HD rotors are very thick.

With the added extra brake torque, cold stopping is very good.

Warmed up, well, it's very nice. :)
That's good enough for me, thanks for the reply and I can't wait to get them put on. My engine is almost done so I'll really be needing those brakes soon.
Jim, did you say you were running Coleman rotors on the front as well? For some reason I thought you were doing Wilwoods on the front and Colemans on the rear???

I should have the cash to order the brake rotors, calipers, lines, etc. next week. When you get a chance, can you post a complete parts list for all of the additional items we will be needing? Much appreciated. If you already did this somewhere, and I missed it....I apologize.
Has anyone ever weighed the diference between the components that are removed and the newer JDK setup? Im wondering if its really not that much different due to the lighter caliper and alloy disc adapter. Anyway thought it would be interesting to know. I know Jim said there would be no more BBK's but I'm praying for another round one of these days now that I have the wheels for it.
