Disclaimer? Is this something that comes with a BBK for legal purposes?
I sent it out via e-mail. You have to sign it and send it back
before you get your goodies.

Yes, it's for legal purposes. You bought off-road/racing parts.
Could you send one of those disclaimer things to me again, I haven't received anything. My email is being a bit funky lately and sometimes I won't get an email, or won't get it for like a week, then it'll all of a sudden show up. Thanks.
any spare kits ava for front or rear?
BBK Status

Jim,

From what I read and information that I got from Chad, your waiting for all the disclaimers to be returned before shipping. I need them now. My brakes are now squeeking and I don't want to wate any money on my stock brakes. Can you please let me and others know if and when they ship.

I would like a list of the required parts ie. Calipers, Rotors, Pads ect.. If you could post here, that would be a great help. A cheap parts source or sources would also be very nice. :D

Regards,
Rick 85 P-Type
Darin - disclaimer resent.

Rick - I'll be sending yours and a few other out next week.

All - There are a few fronts left. I will post here availability
once I finish sending out the pre-ordered kits.

I think I'll just cut holes in my floorboard and stop the Fred Flintstone way - sounds wayyyyyyyyyy cheaper.

:banme:
Jim, I never got a disclamer sent to me. Can you please send me another copy.
Received my Coleman rotors yesterday. Wow, that little box was heavy. The rotors are beautiful and HUGE! I can't wait to put them on.
Jim, any word on the brake lines? If Technafit wont cooperate, Coleman also makes custom SS brake lines.....

I need to call (pester) him again.
Jim, good luck ever getting anything back from Technafit. They're just plain boneheads. As far as custom lines go you can actually get custom lines from a lot of places. You can even make your own. The only reason I've kept going back to Technafit is because all the lines have all the provisions for the factory clips. Although in the rear half of mine didn't fit anyway :?:

BTW Jim the front kit works great  . I'm kinda wondering whether or not I should install the rear kit. I think with a smidge more rear bias I think I can get a nice even 4 wheel lockup. I think the 4 piston in the rear could be overkill. Do they make a 2 piston with the same fitment? I think I'm going to wait awhile and let the pads wear in better before making any adjustments/changes.

My front wheels actually rub a little now hard on the brakes with the front BBK. I swear if its not one problem its another :) . I guess this is a good excuse for those new wheels I've been wanting :D
Yep, that's Technafit.

The benefit is fittings that match factory clips.

Actually, I think the rear BBK gives more balance.

The 1.38" 4 pot is the smallest rear pistions I know of.
Got the rear bbk on Friday, thanks Jim. Now I have 4 nice boxes in the garage ready for installation, minus 1 item.

Can you tell us exactly what length and with what fittings are needed for custom SS brake lines, front and back? Much appreciated. If all goes well, I should have them on for Toronto.

Here's what you need if Technafit doesn't get a move on (likely).

There are two brake lines for each set of calipers (stock).

The first one's can remain the same.

The second one's are like this:

Front: 1.5" longer, 3AN female fitting
Rear: 1.5" longer, 3AN female fitting.

Then I used 1/8 NPT to 3AN male adapters (aeroquip, earl's, etc)
at the caliper to mount to the 3AN fittings.

I highly reccomend *first* bleeding your existing braking system
before even considering installing any BBK. This to resolve any
existing issue, if any.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but I thought the goal was to go from 8 to 4 lines in this process. Any reason not to?

It seems like it would be simpler to get 4 lines. I would assume the 2 in front and the 2 in the rear would be the same, respectively

So we need 4 lines with 3AN female fittings on both ends, with 1/8 NPT to 3AN male adapters at the caliper end. Any reason why we cant get lines made with 3AN female on one end and 1/8 NPT on the other end? Any idea how long they should be for the front and rear. Seems like there was talk in the past of somewhere between 11-13 inches for the front.
For the front I'm using a 12" long male M10x1 (I think) to 1/8" MNPT and then the standard inside front line. You could probably do 1 continous line in the front. In the back I'd stay with the 2 lines per corner setup like factory.
Yes, the original plan was to use a single custom line up front.

Considering it took forever to just get the dual front line setup
from Technafit correct, I would consider it would take forever
to get a single line perfected.

Yes, you still have to go with 4 lines in the back. It's the
way it's designed.

Mind you, Stuart at Technafit is a great guy. I've talked
with him at great length. I think it's a small operation and
custom work is somewhat a challenge.
OK, so we need 6 lines.

Anyone know the stock measurement of the inside line on the front, will take that and add 12".

Jim says 3AN female on one end with 1/ 8" NPT (male or female?) on the other end for the front.

Christian says male M10x1 on one end and 1/8" MNPT on the other end for the front.

HELP??? Which one is it, and which one will work if you replace both lines with one?

For the back, does anyone know the lengths of the 2 lines off the top of their head. Would the first line have a 3AN female fitting on both ends? And the 2nd line would have a 3AN female fitting on one end and a 1/8" NPT on the other end?

I know nothing about these fitting you are describing, I just want to be able to call up Coleman and tell them exactly what I want. I will mention to them the possibility of several additional sets if they can make them correctly.
