I HAVE AN 85 P-TYPE WITH A 5 MGTE MOTOR AND IT SEEMS LIKE IT KEEPS JUMPING TIME I JUST PICK IT UP FROM THE SHOP TODAY AND IT RAN FINE ALL THE WAY HOME BUT WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE IT THIS AFTERNOON IT RAN OK FOR ABOUT 10 MIN. AND THEN IT BEGAN TO RUN SUPER SLUGGISH LIKE IT DID WHEN IT WAS OUT OF TIMING.......HELP PLEEEEEASE :mad:

Sounds like that your timing gear is moving in relation to your crank. This could be caused by you timing gear key or keyway in the crank is worn.

Take the top inspection cover off for the timing belt and see if the belt will move from left to right by hand. If it does pull the rad and harmonic balancer and check the gear, key and keyway.

I hope it is not your crank.

Why do you have your Cap Lock on? You know that means you are yelling?
