Guys I have a sort of dilemma on my hands choosing a color for my MK2 its currently 2 types of red. I really want a Ice Blue color but with the fact that Its red Ill need to sand it down first then I still gotta paint under the hood the door hings and so forth should I paint it that color or maybe paint it Cherry Red Pearl????" Ive posted my cars pic doing a burn out in the pic forum."

Well I asume that a bodyshop is gonna do the work,
Then they should prep the car (sand it) with fine grit paper
and of course remove all but all the mirrors fenders door handles ,belt moldings,C-pillar trim and inside door jam trim....ect.....save you some money if you do it, then prime it and sand one more time ...Last paint. 8)
but it could cost more money than if the original paint.

Just be aware that a complete color change is considerably more expensive because it takes a great deal of extra work but you should have whatever color makes you happy within your budget. Also consider whether your present interior color is complementary to the exterior you choose.
